I cant tell difference between these two guitars?!(EXCEPT THE COLOR)?
Go here 1st to see them: http://www.guitarcenter.com/ESP-LTD-Deluxe-EC-1000-Electric-Guitar-516629-i1149002.gc
They are all different colors and some of them have a few minor differences like pickups or different tuning keys but like the see thru black cherry, black, vintage black, and flame maple see-thru purple are all like 150 bucks more than say the Flame maple see-thru blue and the snow white. I cant tell from the information the site gives if there is any differences in the guitars besides their colors. It just makes me wonder why the color of the guitar would make it that much more money. I just bought the see thru blue and now im starting to wonder if theres such a big difference in price because the one i ordered doesnt have the same specs. If you can find anything out i would greatly appreciate it.
Hey there!
ESP Delux EC-1000 guitars come in many styles and the ones the page you mention above (Guitar Center's page) has them all lumped on the same page, but there are differences.
Some models have higher end hardware, like locking tuners versus non-locking tuners. Some finished are more expensive, usually the bird's eye maple see-through finishes are more because they have to spend more time on them and the wood grain has to be more sought after since it is visible. There are some pick up differences too.
Go to the ESP page that describes them all here: http://www.espguitars.com/guitars_deluxe-ec.html
You have to sift through the lists of features on the left, but the answer to your question lies there.
Hope that helps!
