I shattered my ankle and I have a plate and screws in my ankle. How long before it stops hurting?
I have a hard cast on it. I can not put any weight on it for 3 months. If I try to go somewhere I am in so much pain. Any suggestions. When I am at home I keep it elevated.
12 yrs ago I was in a motorcycle accident and my ankle took the full impact of the 1979 Impala that hit me, My ankle was crushed. Luckily, a rod and screws saved my foot. The pain was awful for the first 6-8 mths. Then got better over time with therapy and exercise. Recently, the weather has caused pain, not nearly as bad as the first mths. but still unconfortable. Hope yours wasnt as bad as mine. Ouch!!!
