Best way to get pet urine out of a guitar case?
My husband just loves his acoustic guitar but he has a bad habit of not puting the case up while he's playing. Well sure enough our cat decided that it would make a great toilet and urinated all over it and inside it. I sopped up most of it since it didn't really soak in but the smell stuck and it's terrible! My husband loves his guitar and this is his only Hard Case so he's really upset and I want to clean it. I'm not sure what to use on it, though. It has a nylon covering and a velour interior.
Will pet urine removers be safe for it? I really don't want to damage the case and even worse, I don't want the leftover chemicals in the cleaner to damage the guitar. Any ideas would be very much appreciated!
Thanks for the snotty comment, love but he's very well litter trained. He's a very dominant (neutered) male and will pee on anything that has my husband's scent that gets left on the floor =)
I sometimes have a problem with my cat and things like this. I found this new product that i feel really does the trick. It's a little pricey but well worth it. It works great on all types of materials and does pet stains and odors. Be sure to test it on a small area first for color fastness. It is called Out Stain &Odor Remover and can usually be found at Wal*Mart in the pet section. Give it a try. I hope it works for you.
