If I cut two strings off my electric guitar does it become a bass?
It's a Gibson USA Les Paul Studio and I paid £1,200 for it but I have now decided I want to learn bass.

Im not what you call "trolling" its a genuine question. I never have been good with music and anything musical.
You sure can but it can be quite difficult.
Firstly you must take a g string and wrap it round the e string so becomes thicker you will then find that by extra tightening of the stings will expand the particles of the string which will also thicken the strings.
If all else fails buy a bass.
