guitar amplifier talking to me(no joke)?
my guitar amplifier is talking to me. I hear a radio station broadcast coming from it. Its cool, creepy, unusual, and I want it to stop. How do I make it stop?
MY amplifier is a fender Princeton 650 if it helps
Pretty common behavior, actually. Obvious solutions: unplug the guitar and the cable. Check that the amp is properly grounded (the third pin is there, it's connected, and your outlet is really grounded). Try playing with the pots and switches. If none of this helps you locate and eliminate what's wrong, you may need to head to the shop. You could poke around inside: you might electrocute yourself but, since it's a recent solid-state amp, probably not, since you're not going to find the enormous voltages you'd find inside a tube amp ... then again, you're probably just going to find printed circuit boards, so there's not much you're going to be able to do in there anyway.
