when did Jackson guitars stop producing exclusively in north america , and move over seas?
I just need to know the first year(s) that Jackson/Charvel produced non US, or north american guitars
thanks
1985 was the year for the first imported ones, 1990 was when japan jumped on the boat (or atleast had it's more popular imports). In short it started with the simple models then to the more complex. Japan made good quality guitars, however they kinda lacked in the hardware used, so that made the quality balance out. And i guess in 1994-1995 the company was getting made Japan was doing a better job the America, (lol) so they cut of the Pro Series production from Japan, and left them with what would be what most call "average" guitars. (well not the special ones)
